hay all,

Well I am soon to be off to Barcelona for a teaching placement as a english language assistant. THe bad news is I'm teaching younger kids, like 9-11 years of age. First off let me state unequivocally, I can't stand bloody kids. But this placement is what I have been given so I'm determined to make it work. Have any of you tought younger kids, with all the hellish difficulties that requires, including using visual aids to keep them interested ETC, particularly with regard to language learning? Maybe someone can give me sone insite here.

thanks MJ

My common teaching method if I have to help out younger students wich is popular because I am some kind of hero or something *I dunno* is just straight up lecturing even if they are kids. I mean they have to get use to that style, they will have to deal with that in college anyways, and the younger they get use to it the better.
